The European Parliament decided, in the evening of Wednesday, June 8, 2022, that the sale of cars and new utilities issuing CO2 to use will be prohibited from 2035, the aim being to reduce CO2 emissions by 55% by 2030.
This ban only concerns the sale of new cars and users will always be able to drive thermal cars after this date.
This is an important step for achieving climatic objectives. The European Parliament thus confirmed a central measure taken last July by the European Commission, aimed at only authorizing the sale of new cars and new CO2 emission. Thus, only electric and fuel cell vehicles will remain authorized.
