The number of cases identified in the United States exceeded 6,600 on Thursday, including approximately a quarter in New York State alone.
Faced with the triple observed in cases for two weeks on the continent, the World Health Organization called for an “urgent action” against the variolate of the monkey in Europe
In a statement, the regional director of health organization called on European countries to “increase their efforts in the coming weeks and months to prevent the variole of the monkey from settle in a larger geographical area”.
In Tunisia, the Ministry of Health wanted to reassure Tunisians, indicating that no case of a vario of the monkey has been recorded to date in Tunisia and that a regular monitoring of the propagation of the variolate of the monkey in the world is assured.
Until this date, no case was recorded of this virus that appeared on May 7 in several European countries and North America, calling on Tunisians not to panic and that the situation is in no way similar to that experienced in the country concerning the pandemic of COVID-19.
