Japan promised on Saturday to pay $ 30 billion (30.1 billion euros) of Africa assistance in three years and to cooperate more closely with the continent.
During the 8th International Conference of Tokyo on the development of Africa, organized in Tunis, Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida assured that his government would work to ensure cereal deliveries to Africa in the context of global shortage caused by the war in Ukraine.
“If we give up a company based on rules and allow unilateral changes in the status quo by force, the consequences will extend not only to Africa, but to the whole world,” said Fumio Kishida, quoted by the Reuters agency.
