The Algerian presidents Abdelmadjid Tebboune and his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron sealed yesterday Saturday, the reconciliation between Paris and Algiers.
The two heads of state signed a declaration which “renews their commitment to register their relations in an irreversible dynamic of progression”, 60 years after the end of the Algerian war.
The two leaders then said a few words to the press a few words, the opportunity for President Tebboune to greet an “excellent and successful visit” of his French counterpart, ensuring that it “allowed a rapprochement which would not have been possible without the very personality of President Macron”.
According to the Algerian president, the two countries will also “act together in many areas outside of Algeria and France”.
“This rapprochement will allow us to go very far,” he said.
