The Moroccan Federation for Consumer Rights has called on citizens, as well as businesses and merchants to boycott Tunisian products, against the backdrop of a diplomatic crisis between the two countries.
In a press release made public, the Tunisian Consumer Defense Organization reacted to this call. She expresses her regret to see the situation reaching such a crisis, announcing that she has suspended any form of cooperation with this structure.
The ODC castigates the actions of the said federation claiming that it has ignored all the principles of solidarity between the two peoples.
A diplomatic tension was established between Tunisia and Morocco because of the participation of an official Polisario delegation in the Ticad 8 organized last Saturday and Sunday in Tunis.
In a statement made public, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that it had recalled its ambassador to Rabat for discussion, and says it reject the position of Morocco.
Recall that following a diplomatic incident, Morocco chose climbing. Although Tunisia has clarified its position in a statement published by its Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Morocco has been carrying out a media campaign without precede against Tunisia since Friday.
