Coming to promote his book “Wine Machi Bina Ya Sidi” on the air radio Shems FM, political scientist Sami Jallouli was not tender with President Moncef Marzouki whom he criticized for his bad choices.
According to him, the President of the Republic has made many trips abroad in two years of power. Much more trips than the visits made within the country, something that seems unacceptable for a president of the post-January 14 Republic.
Sami Jallouli even says that in 23 years, former president Ben Ali has not traveled as much as Marzouki in 2 years! He underlines, in passing, that the majority of trips made by the current president are failures.
According to him, Moncef Marzouki should have participated in summits (like that of the BAD or that of the AU) instead of going to Turkey or Japan as he did recently. He failed in the choice of his destinations, admits Sami Jallouli which is based on the economic side of the president’s trips.
He quotes numerous examples and criticizes the fact that instead of being accompanied by delegations of businessmen during his trips, he is often accompanied by delegations of advisers who have no use in the context of economic exchanges with other countries.
