The Carthage International Festival has seen artists pass… Anouar Brahem is one of those virtuosos that come all Tunis. And for good reason, he inaugurated yesterday the 50th edition of the festival and presented in this case his new musical creation “Souvenance”. In the blink of an eye, the spans were full … The hour is now for music, the lights parade while letting virtuosos take place.

Yesterday in Carthage, the connoisseurs loved it, the novices appreciated, the communion was total. The repertoire offered last night had the gift of sweeping the eardrums, to clean them with all these rudeness that we hear all day long.

The slow pace was only there to make the power of the assemblies appreciate between the different instruments. As of, then, we understand better why Anouar Brahem does not leave his acolytes that are François Couturier on the piano, Björn Meyer on bass and Klaus Gesing in the low clarinet.

“Souvenance”, it was a show in the true sense of the word with the concern for the excessive detail which primaled for each leaving instruments. The result is imposing and masterful, the public was hypnotized by the scene and evaporated in this suave atmosphere …
