The 36 th session of the 2014 Tabarka Jazz Festival will take place this year from August 29 to September 6.
The management has announced an unprecedented event in the history of the festival without giving details on the names of the artists who will be there.
The “jazz village” will be installed between the esplanade of the Tabarka center (North West Tunisian) and the port. It will host, according to the president of the Abderrahmen Tounsi festival, exhibitions, dance shows, offs, sculpture, painting. A jazz instrument museum will also be set up.
The installation “will be something new and exceptional,” said Tounsi.
The Tabarka jazz festival has welcomed many international artists such as Al Jareau, Keith Jarett, Al Die Meola, Ahmad Jamal or Chales Mingus since 1973. Created in the 1970s, it stopped from 2008 to 2012.
