The Spanish authorities revealed, this Thursday, December 1, that a short letter, with a “similar” characteristics to that which exploded yesterday on Wednesday, at the Ukraine Embassy in Madrid, had been sent last week to Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez.
The Ministry of the Interior said in a statement that a “envelope containing pyrotechnic equipment” and sent “to the President of the Pedro Sanchez government” had been “detected and neutralized by the security services of the Presidency of the Government” on “November 24”.
It should be noted that a member of the staff of the Ukraine Embassy in Madrid was slightly injured during the explosion of a trapped letter yesterday.
To this end, Ukraine ordered “reinforced security” yesterday for all its embassies.
“The Minister (Ukrainian Foreign Affairs) Dmytro Kouleba has in charge of strengthening the security of all Ukrainian embassies. He also called on the Spanish authorities to investigate this attack, “said the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry spokesman Oleg Nikolenko on Twitter.
