As Morocco put on Tuesday, January 24, the ultra fast train serving Marrakech, at the same time, there was a question, with us, of a transport strike, which was postponed at the last moment!
Nothing is used to lament us, tell yourself. The gap that separates us from Morocco continues to widen day by day, and to the point where progress goes to our Moroccan friends, concomitantly at the decadence that reigns in our business sectors, there is something to worry about.
The National Railway Office of Morocco experienced, yesterday Tuesday, an experimental trip aboard the ultra fast train towards Marrakech. This trial comes in a prelude to the entry into service of this train on the occasion of the 11th UIC Congress of high rail speed, which will be held from March 7 to 10 in Marrakech in Morocco.
With the theme of “high rail speed: the right speed for our planet”, this congress “emphasizes the contribution of the railway to the resolution of climate problems and its role in regional planning”.
More than 1,500 participants are expected for this eleventh edition: political decision-makers, transport authorities, railway companies and key players in inter-modality, infrastructure managers, industrialists, financial institutions, customers, research and research institutes, universities, etc.
We do not know if the SNCFT will participate in this congress or not, but the thing we are practically sure is that at the rate where our trains roll, the delegation may arrive late. That, in case there is no transport strike!
