Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has declared a national seven -day mourning in Türkiye, after the terrible earthquake that struck the south of the country and Syria.
More than 2,600 people were killed in the two countries, including 1,651 just in Turkey by a powerful earthquake of magnitude 7.8, followed a few hours later by a very strong magnitude of 7.5, this Monday, February 6.
The Turkish President also called for the National Union, adding that Turkey had received aid offers from 45 countries. The international community has indeed mobilized to help disaster victims after this natural disaster.
