The Ali Belhaouane cultural club has carried out a cultural exchange with the French company Nord Ouest Théâtre for 16 performances of the play “Far d’Antigone”. This exchange, for the benefit of students from the Higher Institute of Dramatic Art in Tunis and especially that of high school students passing the Bac Lettres.

This is not the first time that René Pareja has come to us. Besides, he had declared to the newspaper Ouest-France, before taking the plane for Tunis: “The magnificent family (in Tunisia) is returned fifteen years ago, when Ben Ali was still in power and the North West Theater was there after the Arab Spring. We played as well in Tunis as well as in the mountains. I can say that the company knows Tunisia in many facets ”.

Still according to the French newspaper, “René Pareja staged the work of Sophocles, adapted, shortened and renamed Antigone, far from Antigone by the Belgian author Paul Edmond. At the heart of this tragedy (…), the question of the relationship between men and women, living and dead, people and power. “This work is in French bac in Tunisia” “.

The Tunisian tour of Antigone, far from Antigone began in Tunis. The team repeated, first, for a short week, then presented itself at Isad to play and meet students. The cities of Gafsa, Tozeur, Kerkennah were also on the program.
