A new earthquake of 6.4 on the Richter scale touched Turkey, this Monday, February 20, 2023. A new seismic activity sixteen days after the earthquake of a magnitude of 7.8 which struck Turkey and Syria on February 6, making more than 40,000 dead to date.
This earthquake was recorded Monday evening in the Turkish province of Hatay (South), the most tested by the earthquake of February 6. The shock whose epicenter was located in the locality of Defne, according to AFAD, was very violently felt in Antakya and Adana, 200 km further north.
The shock has aroused a movement of panic among the population already hardly experienced, and raised significant clouds of dust in the city in ruins.
