An underwater earthquake of a magnitude of 5.2 on the Richter scale was recorded, in the evening of Tuesday March 14, 2023, off the Greek island of Cythera in the Aegean Sea (South).
The shock took place at 4:36 p.m. at a depth of 14 kilometers in the Aegean Sea, 299 kilometers south of Athens and 98 kilometers from Cythera, indicates the National Observatory of Athens.
No victim and no damage has been reported knowing that Greece, located on several geological flaws lines, is regularly struck by earthquakes.
