The inhabitants of the popular district of Sidi Hassine-Sijoumi have always denounced the absence of any cultural and sporting leisure space, where children and young people can spend their time by practicing beneficial activities.
The Mohamed Ali El-Hammi popular university (UPMH) has taken the initiative to transform a dumping ground, a large space used as an open-air trash can, into an space of leisure located in the city 25-July.
Trees and flowers have been planted and a scene was installed by volunteers. Graffiti have been registered on the walls to give them more colors. Artistic shows and cultural events will be presented on stage for the benefit of children in the neighborhood during the summer holidays.
