As part of the first civilian evacuation operation from Sudan, Saudi Arabia has announced that it has repatriated several of its nationals as well as those of other countries including Tunisia.
Saudis and nationals of other countries evacuated from Sudan arrived in Jeddah on Saturday, as part of the first civil evacuation operation announced since the start of the fighting a week ago, Saudi television said.
“The first ship evacuating people from Sudan, transporting 50 citizens (Saudis) and a number of nationals from friendly countries, has arrived,” said state channel Al-Ekhbariyah.
Four other ships from Sudan and to Jeddah transport 108 people from 11 countries, including Tunisia, “she added, without other details.
The Tunisian community established in Sudan is made up of 110 members among the senior executives assigned in regional and international organizations, specifies the Department of Foreign Affairs.
