The Hope of Tunis and the Sfaxian CS were eliminated from the King Salmane Cup of the Arab football clubs after sending back back to back (0-0) in their face-to-face, Wednesday at the Taef stadium (Saudi Arabia), counting for the third and last day of the group stage (Group A).
It is the Saudis of Al Ittihad and the Iraqis of Al Shorta who will play the quarterfinals despite the victory of the first against the second (2-1), in the group’s other match.
Al Itihad took the best on his opponent thanks to two goals from Ahmed Bamsauda (36) and Karim Benzema (84 SP), after the equalization of Al Shorta by Boubacar Moumouni (80).
At the end of this third day, the Saudis finished in the lead with 9 points in front of the Iraqis (4 points), while the hope is third with 2 points in front of the Sfaxian CS (1 point).
