US President Joe Biden assured that Westerners were “not involved” in Wagner’s rebellion in Russia, as Russian Minister of Foreign Affairs had implied.
The American ambassador in Moscow directly contacted the Russian authorities this weekend to assure them that the United States was “not involved” in the aborted rebellion of the Wagner group in Russia, the State Department said.
After the attempted rebellion led by Wagner on Saturday, his chief Evguéni Prigojine must go to Belarus and is still targeted by an investigation.
