The former national coach of the Eagles de Carthage (three times), aur Hizem, died this Monday, September 4, 2023 at the age of 85.
Born on September 22, 1937, Amem Hizem was a former player of the Monastirian sports union where he made all his career before going to play in Germany (Knapsack and Solinge).
After hanging up the crampons, he turns to the coach job. He won his coach diploma in Germany.
He returns to Tunisia and leads to several Tunisian clubs such as the Monastirian US, the Tunisian stadium, the African club, EM Mahdia etc.
In 1970, he was appointed national coach, a position he occupied until 1974. He was recalled at the head of the National Team after the Argentina epic (from 1978 to 1979) and then from 1980 to 1981. He was also a national technical director twice.
His list of technicians had the Gold Medal of the Palestine Cup in 1973 in Libya, the Méditerranéens 1971 silver medal in Izmir and two Maghreb clubs with CA (1975 in Casablanca and 1976 in Tunis).
