Algeria has refused to grant France an overview of its territory for a military operation in Niger, the Algerian radio station reported on Monday evening, quoted by Reuters.
Algeria is opposed to any foreign military intervention in Niger and favors the diplomatic path to restore constitutional order in the country since the military coup on July 26, adds the same source.
Since the coup d’etat on July 26 in Niger, France has expressed a lot and remains very firm towards the putschists, without however investing directly.
On July 26, President Mohamed Bazoum was overthrown, in a military coup, by General Abdourahamane Tiani, the former head of the presidential guard.
