The African Football Confederation announced this Wednesday, September 27, 2023, the host countries which will organize editions 2025 and 2027 of the African Cup of Nations (CAN).
Thus, the CAN 2025 will be organized by Morocco after the withdrawal of Algeria from the race on the eve of the vote which will decide from the countries which will be awarded the tournament in 2025 and 2027.
It should be recalled that it was in Guinea to organize the 2025 edition but it was removed the organization of the tournament in October of last year due to concerns about infrastructure and facilities.
As for the 2027 edition, it was jointly allocated to Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania. It is a first in the history of competition that three countries are assigned the organization of the same edition.
