We are two days before the opening of the 28th Edition of Carthage Cinematographic Days which will take place from November 4 to 11, 2017.
180 films from around the world will be screened during these days, with A record number of Tunisian films Compared to previous editions.
During The JCC press conference held on October 19, 2017, the general delegate of the JCC, Ms. Lamia Belkaied Guiga, had focused on these films of the 28th session of JCCs and which reflect the dynamic life of African and Arabic cinema; A cinema with a new breath, competitive of any products from elsewhere. She had indicated that the selection had been guided by artistic and technical quality and by international recognition, undoubtedly, professionals who produced them which earned them to be crowned in the biggest festivals.
“The official selection of the 2017 session, is like this oldest festival, and a mirror of its original cinematographies”. She pointed out that the JCC also welcome this year and with pride, a selection from Algeria, South Africa, Latin America, Asia and other cinematographies in the world. “Fictions or documentaries, feature or short films, regardless of the form or gender, the films offered to the public evoke current themes such as migration, injustice and integration and have messages of love, peace and tolerance,” she added.
Thanks to the partnership signed with La Poste, Electronic tickets will be sold in 5 Tunisian Post Offices from November 2. Reduced prices are planned for students who have postal accounts.
In addition, 10 counters will be opened on Avenue Habib Bourguiba, from November 4. Finally, the sale of subscriptions starts on November 3 on the 1st floor of Le Mondial cinema. Tickets are 3D for adults and 1D500 for students and 50D subscriptions for adults and 30D for students.

The opening film is Write on the snow From the Palestinian Rashid Masharawi.
And for the 3rd consecutive year, the JCC will also be in the prisons.
The Egyptian actor Khaled Abol Naga had been the first actor to attend the screening of his film in the Tunisian prisons during the 2015 JCC. In 2016, a tribute had also been paid to him by the Directorate of the JCC, because he had thus given the example to the other actors who took over in 2016.
Moreover, and thanks at the JCC partnership with the BE Tounsi collective, The store located at Avenue Habib Bourguiba will be open to the public from 04 to 11 November 2017 from 10:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
