At least 3000 dead in Libya!

It is the disaster in Libya. The city of Derna, in the east of the country, was entirely flooded by torrential rains, and with the collapse of several dams the situation worsened. A provisional assessment evokes more than 3000 dead.

Storm Daniel, which has caused serious floods in the northeast in Libya for two days AA, has also been nine thousand disappeared, the country’s eastern authorities said, while the Tripoli rival authorities have declared the state of disaster and launched an appeal to international aid.

According to Arab media correspondents mobilized on the spot, the number of deaths is estimated at 4,000. The Libyan Aviation Minister testifies for his part that 25% of the City of Derna was struck off from the card following these floods.

Faced with this disaster, Tunisia offered its help to the Libyan neighbor. The President of the Republic had ordered to multiply all the efforts in order to rescue the victims.

The Tunisia General Consulate General in Tripoli in Libya, set up a green number – 00218213409479 – available to members of the Tunisian community being east of Libya and in all areas affected by floods to report any emergency.
