The Sports Arbitral Tribunal (TAS) rejected this Friday, September 29, 2023, the appeal filed by the Hope of Tunis against the sanctions imposed on him by the disciplinary committee of the African Football Confederation (CAF).
The sanctions concerned the acts of violence committed by a group of its supporters during the half-time of the quarter-final return of the African Champions 2023 League against JS Kabylie, disputed at the Hammadi Agrebi stadium in Radès. All sanctions are thus in force.
The CAF disciplinary committee had sanctioned the blood and gold of:
Four continental matches behind closed doors, due to the security failures that tainted the match.
Reporting the execution of this decision of only two matches, provided that no disciplinary exceeding is committed during the 12 months following the date of the sanction.
Automatic exclusion of all African competitions of the following year in the event of new acts of vandalism of any kind occurring within 12 months from the date of the sanction.
A fine of $ 300,000.
