More than 110 people were killed on Thursday, October 5, 2023, in an attack on a military academy in Syria.
The attack on a ceremony for promoting regime officers to Homs was attributed to “terrorist organizations” by the Syrian army. It was carried out “using drones loaded with explosives,” said the army.
The attack left 112 dead including 21 civilians and at least 120 injured, according to a balance sheet from the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (OSDH).
The attack was not claimed.
