Tunisia has issued reservations about the resolution text from the Arab League Council meeting in an extraordinary session, at the ministerial level, Wednesday October 11, 2023.
The Council of the Arab League met to examine the last climbing in the Palestino-Israeli conflict after the operation “deluge of Al-Aqsa” led by Hamas in the colonies of Gaza, and the murderous offensive perpetrated in retaliation by Israel against the Gaza Strip.
On the sidelines of the decision rendered by the Council of the Arab League, the President of the Republic, Kais Saied, instructed the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration and Tunisians abroad, Nabil Ammar, to formulate the following reserves on the text of the decision rendered.
“Tunisia, which remains firm in its positions and adheres to the right of the Palestinian people to establish its independent state throughout the Palestinian territory, with the capital of al-Quds, expresses its reserves in general and detailed as to the decision rendered by the meeting of the Council of the League of Arab States at the ministerial level during its extraordinary session of October 11, 2023.
Palestine is not a file or a case in which there is a complainant or a defendant, but it is rather the right of the Palestinian people who cannot be prescribed or canceled by the Zionist occupation by the murder, the displacement and the cut of the most fundamental elements of life, such as water and drugs, food and electricity and targeting the elderly, women and innocent children, houses Rescue teams and ambulance.
Humanity must triumph for the truth and recall the massacres to which our Arab people has been subjected to Palestine, which still offers legions of martyrs and thousands of wounded, bereaved and orphans in order to regain their stolen law on their Spolied land, all Palestine “.
These reservations follow the decision according to which the Council of the Arab League, meeting for consultation and coordination, demanded “the immediate judgment of the Israeli war against Gaza”, calling all the parties to “restraint, and warning against the catastrophic humanitarian and security repercussions of the continuation of the climbing, working with the international community to launch an urgent action ».
The Arab League Council condemned “killing and targeting civilians on both sides, as well as all acts contrary to international humanitarian law”, affirming “the need to protect civilians, in harmony with joint human values”. The resolution also calls for the release of all the hostages and detained.
In addition, the Minister of Foreign Affairs Nabil Ammar called, yesterday at this extraordinary meeting of the Arab League Council, the international community to assume its responsibilities and to put pressure on the Israeli occupation to immediately stop its serious military drifts and provide the necessary international protection to the disarmed Palestinian people.
The Minister reaffirmed Tunisia’s total support for the Palestinian cause and the Palestinian people to recover their rights, welcoming the resilience of the Palestinians in their liberation fight.
