The spokesman for the Al-Qassam brigades (Hamas Army Branch), Abu Ubaida, said that the number of Israeli prisoners in the Gaza Strip is estimated between 200 and 250.

In a video broadcast by several media he said that “the enemy deliberately launched a brutal attack against our people instead of facing the fighters on the ground”.

He continued: “The Israeli enemy did not expect a besieged Arab force to Gaza to bring him the hardest shot in his history”.

And to add that prisoners other than Israelis will be released at the right time.
