At least 500 people were killed this Tuesday in a strike on Ahli Arab hospital, downtown Gaza, on the eleventh day of the war between Israel and Hamas and on the eve of a visit to Israel of the American president Joe Biden.
“500 people died in a bombing that affected the Ahli Arab hospital, located in the city center, and hundreds of victims are still in the rubble,” said a statement from the Ministry of Health in Gaza.
Asked about this information from Hamas, the Israeli army spokesman Daniel Hagari first said “not yet having all the details”. Then the Israeli army attributed the strike to a failed rocket shooting of the Islamic jihad Palestinian organization.
“According to information from the intelligence services, based on several sources we have obtained, Islamic jihad is responsible for the shooting of a failed rocket that affected the hospital,” the Israeli army said in a statement.
