At least 22 people dead and 50 injured in three shootings occurred last night in the state of Maine in the northeast of the United States.
A gigantic manhunt continues today in the United States, to find an army reservist who opened fire, on the evening of Wednesday, October 25, in Lewiston in the northeast of the United States. He killed at least 22 people and made more than fifty injured.
The shootings took place in at least two different places, a bowling room and a restaurant. Another killing took place in the same evening in a logistics center of a Walmart supermarket.
The inhabitants of this city were asked to remain sheltered from their houses. Schools have been closed today. The suspect was identified and the police released his photo. Its mobiles remain unknown.
It would be the worst attack of this kind that has occurred in the United States for at least August 2019, when an armed man had opened fire in a Walmart store in the city of El Paso, Texas, killing 30 people.
The United States pays a very heavy price for the spread of firearms in its territory and the ease with which Americans have access to it.
The country has more individual weapons than residents: one in three adults has at least one weapon. Out of suicides, more than 15,000 people have died in violence by guns since the start of the year in the country.
