Pentagon spokesperson Pat Ryder announced yesterday Thursday, October 26, that around 900 American soldiers were in the Middle East or were on the way to this region as part of “efforts aimed at detering a wider conflict and strengthening our forces of protection”.
“I can confirm that around 900 soldiers have been deployed or are being in the area of responsibility for the US central command,” he said.
He also said in a briefing that the United States planned to transfer two Iron Dome batteries to Israel.
The country had already sent weapons, two aircraft carriers and intervention groups in the eastern Mediterranean.
