National coach Jalel Kadri will have to do without Mortadha Ben Ouannas during the next CAN in Côte d’Ivoire.
Jalel Kadri has indeed decided to dispense the player for “pressing family reasons forcing him to stay with his daughter in Türkiye,” said the Tunisian football federation today.
Mortadha Ben Ouannas is one of the 27 players summoned on December 28 by the national coach to participate in the competition, which will take place from January 13 to February 11, 2024.
For the time being, the national coach has not yet appointed his replacement at CAN, knowing that the FTF must send the final list of players, this Wednesday, January 3, 2024, the deadline for sending official lists.
Tunisia will evolve during the first round of the CAN in the E group alongside South Africa, Mali and Namibia.
