The coach of the Tunisia team, Jalel Kadri, apologized to the Tunisian public, following the defeat of the Carthage Eagles (0-1), during the first group match of the CAN 2023, against Namibia, on Tuesday.
Kadri recognized, during the post-match press conference, that the Tunisians complicated the task in this group E. He added that there are still six points to take Mali and South Africa and stressed that his players will react in the next two matches.
The national coach also pointed out that Tunisians lacked physical impact in the midfield. “The entry of Laïdouni allowed us to better control the game and to create opportunities, but success has not followed,” he regretted.
“Argentina has lost its first match of the World Cup, against Saudi Arabia, but it finally won the title. There are still six points to take, facing Mali and South Africa and I hope that my players will react positively, during these two matches, “he added.
It should be remembered that Tunisia bowed (0-1) against Namibia, for its first game in group E a big disappointment against one of the weakest teams of the tournament on paper.
