We note that Palestine had the biggest share in this competition, winning four prizes out of a total of six. This indicates the great progress that Palestinian cinema has experienced in recent years.
The very beautiful 200 metersproduced by Ameen Nayfehof which it is the first fictional feature, even won two of these four prizes. Bravo for this young director, whose film was selected in several major film festivals and won numerous awards.
May Odeh, producer of the film “200 meters” and the two trophies won during the Arab Critics Awards
The man who sold his skinwhich was appointed to the Oscar 2021 for the best international film, would also have deserved the prize for the best director.
In this same edition of the Cannes Film Festival, Kaouther Ben Hania is a member of Jury of short films and the competition for film film films.
Since the first edition which had been launched on the sidelines of the 70th edition of the Cannes Film Festival, each year the awards have been awarded to the best Arab cinematographic productions.
