Tunisia was satisfied with a draw against Mali (1-1) on the 2nd day of group E of the CAN in a match played this evening at the Amadou Gon Coulibaly stadium in Korhogo. Mali opened the scoring at the 10 ‘before Tunisia equals 20’.

Tunisia started the very strong meeting by getting two first opportunities in the first three minutes. At the 2 ‘, a direct free kick from Ben Slimane is pushed by the Malian porter. Then, the next minute, a pressing by Tunisians almost ended as a goal but the Malian defense saves in corner.

At 10 ‘, Lassine Sinayoko dribbles on her left side and is played out from Tunisian defense. He unchecks a shot that deceives Ben Said after hitting his left post before finishing his race in the nets. After this goal, Mali takes the game on his own in the face of a Rétroidie Tunisia.

It is thanks to Ali Abdi that Tunisians return to the match. A first opening of the rear creates the danger when the ball, taken up by Youssef Msakni finds the Malian transversal. At 20 ‘, Ali Abdi reoffends. He escapes on his left side and serves impeccably behind Hamza Rafia whose shot leaves no chance to the Malian porter Diarra and equalizes at 1-1.

After this goal, the game is rebalanced, but Mali, more imposing on the physical level, grabs the environment and remains the most dangerous in the face of Tunisians sometimes showing feverishness and fragility when it comes to defending.

In the second half, the intensity rises from a notch. Tunisians and Malians get many opportunities but without creating serious opportunities to score.

Over the minutes the Malian players give the impression of wanting to be content with the draw that suits them, but still gets a very dangerous opportunity to double the scoring in the 79 ‘. In continuity, Seifeddine Ltaief has the second goal at the end of the foot, but his shot is deflected in a corner.

The two teams finally leave back to back on the score of 1-1 which arrange Malians more than Tunisians. Tunisia remains 3rd in the group with 1 point on the clock.
