We can deplore that the two films A hero by Asghar Farhadi (Iran) And A world from Laura Wandel (Belgium)which had respectively won the Grand Prix and the Prix Fipresci, at the 74th Edition of the Cannes Film Festival and which had been in the Shortlist of appointments for the Oscar 2022 for the best international film, were not retained. However, these two films are, in my opinion, the most beautiful films of the year 2021.
The absence of Lady Gaga, in the best actress category, for her role as Patrizia Reggiani in the film House of Gucci is also to be deplored.
The 2022 Oscar ceremony will take place on March 27, 2022.
