With the exception of three decisions, Tunisia issued reservations on all the other provisions expressed in the final resolution of the extraordinary Arab-Islamic spouse held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, yesterday Saturday, November 11, 2023.
Mr. Nabil Ammar, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration and Tunisians abroad, who led the Tunisian delegation participating in this summit, on the instructions of the President of the Republic, first recalled the firm position of Tunisia in favor of the Palestinian people and its right cause.
He stressed that “the serious and extremely dangerous situation that the Palestinian people, in particular in the Gaza Strip, is going through, requires that the summit focuses exclusively on: (1) The immediate cessation of the brutal Israeli aggression, (2) Work for the immediate entry of urgent and adequate humanitarian aid to the Palestinian people and (3) the lifting of the blockade in the Gaza Strip Palestine, ”according to a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Migration and Tunisians abroad.
On the basis of the above, the press release emphasizes that our country “issued reservations on all the provisions of the resolution of the extraordinary Arab-Islamic spouse, with the exception of the three elements above cited”.
This summit was held to discuss the assault of the Zionist entity on the Gaza Strip and the latest developments in the occupied Palestinian territories.
