The Red Cross and the UN are “extremely worried” after the military operation of the Israeli army in the Al-Chifa hospital, the most important in Gaza.
“I am horrified by the information reporting military raids at the Al-Chifa hospital in Gaza,” wrote Martin Griffiths, head of UN emergency humanitarian operations on the X network.
“The protection of newborns, patients, medical staff and all civilians must take precedence over any other concern,” insisted Griffiths, in response to the Israeli military raid at the Al-Chifa hospital.
The immense hospital complex has been in the heart of fighting between Israeli soldiers and Islamist fighters for several days and represents a major objective for Israel, which has sworn to “destroy” Hamas.
