The Palestinian Ministry of Health announced, Friday evening, a new assessment of the number of victims.
The number of martyrs reached 11,675 and that of the wounded amounts to 32,000, since the start of the Israeli aggression against the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, on October 7. As of November 16, the results also reported 4,707 people among children and 3,155 among women as well as 686 elderly people.
The ministry said that more than 3,600 civilians are still missing under the rubble, including 1750 children.
A total of 238 among health staff (202) and civil protection (36) fell martyrs. More than 60 ambulances have also been attacked, 55 of which were damaged and put out of service.
The ministry indicated that 26 of the 35 hospitals in Gaza and 52 of the 72 primary health care clinics, more than two thirds, have ceased to operate due to the damage caused by bombing or lack of fuel, explaining that the nine remaining hospitals are partially operating.
On November 16, for the second consecutive day, the Israeli occupation forces, accompanied by tanks, stormed the Al-Shifa medical complex in Gaza and occupied several departments. The southern part of the complex was damaged, including the radiology service and the occupation forces have taken several corpses from the interior of the hospital.
