The Master International Film Festival-Yasmine Hammamet has selected a list of the best fiction and documentary feature films from the five continents in order to participate in the official competition of its first founding edition which will take place from June 4 to 11.
This selection of the Miff-Yasmine Hammamet has a total of 30 films in its various competitions including 12 films for the fiction LM competition, 6 films in that of the documentary LM, and 12 films in the fiction CM competition.
For the first fiction LM competition, contribute for the “Golden Galion”:
– Lebanese Michel Kamoun with the most recent of his films Beirut Hold’em which has just participated in the 1era Edition of the Red Sea International Festival (2021); A work that follows several cinematographic experiences in the short film, such as Catodieque (1993), Dhilal (Shadows), (1995), Ad-Douch (the shower), (1999), and his first LM fiction Falafel (2006).
Beirut Hold’emlasting 96 minutes, takes us to the cinematic genre of Michel Kamoun and his universes of the aesthetics and anxieties of humanity, where he evokes the repercussions of life on the thread of death in a city on the verge of war and bankruptcy.

– Quo Vadis Aïda?of her author and director Jasmila Zbanic, contributed to the short list of the best international film during the 93th Edition of the Oscars, and represented Bosnia in more than one international festival, whose official competition at the Venice Festival in 2020, and obtained the Golden Star, as best film, at the 20thth Edition of the El-Gouna Festival, as well as the Best Female Role Prize for its heroine Jassana Gorsitch.
It is not always that “the winners write history”, because the resistance can change the equation and, precisely, in the scenes of Quo Vadis Aïda?in 1995 in the city of Srebrenica, director Jasmila Zbanic attests to the massacre that took place there, through the history of the English teacher Aïda who acts as a translator between her fellow citizens and the peacekeeping forces under the police station – Unis.

Kamir Aïnouz who studied in the script and realization, is considered the first director to open the days of Venezia, during the 77th edition of the Venice Festival with this same film Honey cigar.
