The Truce entered into force, this Friday in Gaza allowed the UN to increase the delivery of humanitarian aid in the enclave.
A total of 137 trucks have already been unloaded, welcomed the United Nations Agency responsible for Humanitarian Coordination (OCHA).
This delivery has been the biggest humanitarian convoy since the start of the war in Gaza on October 7, stressed the OCHA, stating that 129,000 liters of fuel were also able to pass the border to Gaza, and that 21 patients in critical situations were evacuated from the north of the enclave.
The ceasefire between Hamas and Israel came into force this Friday, November 24, 2023 at 7 am local time. The agreement concluded on Wednesday provides for the exchange of fifty women and children held by Hamas for 150 Palestinian prisoners, as well as a lull of fighting for four days.
The agreement found also provides the routing of 130 thousand liters of fuel each day and the daily entry of 200 trucks of humanitarian aid in the Palestinian enclave.
The first humanitarian aid trucks have also entered the Gaza Strip, about an hour and a half after the start of the Truce via the Rafah terminal.
