A new exchange of hostages between Hamas and Israel is scheduled for this Sunday, November 26 on the third day of the Truce between the two first parts after two series of liberations.

Until now Hamas has returned to the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) 41 Israeli and foreign hostages detained in Gaza on Friday and Saturday (24 Friday and 17 Saturday), while Israel released 78 Palestinian prisoners who were detained in Israeli prisons (39 Friday and 39 on Saturday).

The agreement, concluded Wednesday under the aegis of Qatar with the support of the United States and Egypt, provides for the exchange of 50 hostages of Hamas for 150 Palestinian prisoners throughout the four days of this Truce, which can be extended.

The release on Saturday was delayed for long hours, Hamas accusing Israel of not respecting the terms of the agreement, but the situation ended up unlocking. Hamas finally released 17 people late Saturday (13 Israelis and 4 Thai).

Late in the evening, Israel announced for his part having released a second group of 39 Palestinian prisoners, all women and young people under 19, as the day before.

In occupied West Bank, convoys of cars surmounted by flags of the various Palestinian movements, Hamas in mind, paraded in the streets, escorting a bus from the Red Cross which transported the released prisoners.

At the same time, humanitarian aid trucks continue to enter the Gaza band, besieged and devastated by seven weeks of intense Israeli bombardments.

A total of 248 trucks responsible for humanitarian aid entered the Gaza Strip on Saturday, 61 of which delivered water, food and medical equipment in the north of the territory, according to the UN.

In the Gaza Strip, 14,854 people, including 6,150 children and young people under the age of 18, were killed by Israeli strikes, according to the Hamas government.
