French President Emmanuel Macron has raised his tone with unique vigor yesterday Saturday, December 2 with regard to the Israeli strategy in Gaza questioning “the objective” of “total destruction of Hamas” and calling for “redoubled efforts to achieve a lasting ceasefire”.
The president dined on Saturday evening in Qatar with Cheikh Tamim Ben Hamad al-Thani, the emir of this country at the heart of the negotiations for the Truce questioned the military objectives of TSAhal in Gaza.
Not that, Emmanuel Macron said he was going to the “sustainable security” of Israel, which could not be guaranteed if it “is at the cost of Palestinian lives, and therefore of the resentment of all public opinions in the region”.
He also called to “redouble their efforts to reach a lasting ceasefire, to obtain the release of all the hostages still held by Hamas and bring to the Gaza population the aid it urgently needs”.
