The Yemen Houthis announced this Friday, December 15, 2023, having attacked two ships in the Red Sea.
The Houthis “led a military operation against two container ships, MSC Alanya and MSC Palatium III, who headed for the Zionist entity and who were targeted by two missiles,” said their military spokesperson, Yehya Sari, during a demonstration of support for the Palestinians organized in Sanaa, the capital of Yemen.
These attacks are not the first of its kind. On Monday evening, a new incident took place off the Côtes du Yemen where the Houthis claimed a shot of the Missile in the Red Sea which hit an oil tanker beating Norwegian flag.
The attacks in the Red Sea targeting ships in retaliation for the war waged by Israel against Hamas in the Gaza Strip, multiply the threats of the Houthi to attack Israeli ships and belonging to allies of Israel sailing in the Red Sea.
