Tunisia will no longer be able to organize competitions, regional, continental or even global, following sanctions decided by the World Anti -Doping Agency (AMA) this week.
In addition, Tunisia will see its flag stay at half mast in the next Olympic and Paralympic Games and its representatives will not be eligible to occupy positions in the committees or boards of directors of the agency.
This series of sanction intervenes is final and with “immediate effect”, according to the press release published by the AMA, which criticizes Tunisia “its inability to fully implement the 2021 version of the World Anti -Doping Code within its legal system”.
Indeed, Tunisia had four months, from last November, to adopt “a certain number of modifications to the legislative and regulatory texts” to comply with the Code of the Tunisian legal framework. Something that has not been done.
Definitely, Tunisian sport goes from bad to worse …
