Cannes 2023 – Four prizes for “Les Filles d’Olfa” by Kaouther Ben Hania

The film Olffa’s girlsdirected by Kaouther Ben Hania, and selected in official competition at the 76th Cannes Film Festival has just collected four prizes, while waiting for this evening’s record:

• The prize for positive cinema. The prize for positive cinema is awarded to the most positive feature film of the official selection in competition at the Cannes Film Festival. He rewards a cinema that changes our gaze on the world, questions his industry and puts his art at the service of future generations.

• The François Chalais Prize special mention of the jury. This prize is awarded each year during the Cannes Film Festival to a film devoted to the values of journalism.

• Golden eye of the best documentary, in ex aecquo with the film Kadib Abyad (the mother of all lies) by Asmae El Moudir.

• Citizenship price. This prize celebrates the commitment of a director and a screenwriter in favor of citizen values. Its object is to distinguish a primary work of artistic quality which exalts the virtues of individual and collective human richness, the solidarity commitments in favor of women and men, as well as the preservation of the resources of our planet associated with the defense of environmental quality in favor of future generations.
