Exempted from the 1st round, the Tunisian will start the WTA 1000 of Rome (May 6-19) as a seeded number 8 and will face, in the 2nd round, the winner of the duel which will oppose the American Sofia Kenin (58th) to the Italian Lucia Bronzetti (48th world).
Still 9th in the WTA ranking, updated this Monday, May 6, 2024, Ons Jabeur should tackle this tournament of which she reached the final in 2022 when she had been beaten by the current world number 1 IGA Swiatek, in good conditions.
