Several explosions were heard this Thursday, January 18 in southeast Iran, two days after Tehran led strikes against “terrorist targets” in Pakistan.

At least three women and four children were killed this morning in southeast Iran after a missile strike by Pakistan, Iranian public television reported.

The strikes targeted a village close to the locality of Saravan, near the border. Iranian public television said that the victims are all of non-Iranian nationality.

According to Iranian Iranian Iranian agency Irna, explosions were heard early Thursday, January 18 in the south-east Iran, two days after Tehran led strikes against “terrorist targets” in Pakistan.

Pakistan confirmed that it had led “strikes against terrorist covers” in the night, after an Iranian attack on its territory that killed two children.

On the diplomatic level, Pakistan recalled its ambassador to Iran and decided to prevent the return of the Iranian ambassador, who is currently in his country.

For his part, the Iranian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, stressed that the Iranian armed forces had targeted the “Iranian terrorist group” Jaish al-Adl in Pakistan, who has been leading attacks on Iranian soil for several years.

On Wednesday, the group announced that it had killed a member of the revolution guards in the Southeast, according to the IRNA agency.
