For this thirty-sixth edition which will take place from July 5 to August 12, the opening will be in the colors of Austria with an evening entitled “Salut de Vienne” with the participation of the Maestro Manfred Müssauer which will direct the Tunis Symphony Orchestra.
Among the highlights of the festival, a lyrical recital in tribute to Maria Callas and Enrico Caruso will take place on July 15 under the direction of Maestro Nima Keshavarzi.
It is symbolically on June 21, the day of the music festival, that the traditional festival’s press conference took place, revealing the main lines of this thirty-sixth edition which will therefore bring together several prestigious training.
Let us quote the Cairo Symphony Orchestra (on the participation of which doubts remain), the Barcelona Baroque orchestra, the Vienna Opera Ball Orchestra, the Prague Wind Philharmonic Orchestra, the European Symphony Orchestra and of course the Symphony Orchestra of the Tunis Opera. Note also an enticing “Italian night” of chamber music.
Named “Nocturnes d’El Djem”, this edition benefits from the main patronage of the International Banque Union (UIB) and the support of several European embassies.
