The famous composer and performer author, Ben Harper, will perform at the Carthage International Festival during a solo concert, scheduled for Sunday July 30, on the stage of the Roman amphitheater of Carthage.
Ben Harper is currently on tour and his concert on July 30, will be the last given outside the United States. His first concert is scheduled for June 30 in Paris for a tour which will then cover several other European cities.
Benjamin Charles Harper, 53, was influenced by Jimmy Hendrix, Bob Marley and Marvin Gaye. He released 11 albums in about fifteen years, notably the very committed “Fight for Your Mind”.
At the origin of mixed music, Ben Harper draws from all musical styles, he navigates both in the blues and in gospel, funk, reggae, soul or rock, and excels in the art of the slide guitar, a style of play inherited from the Mississipi blues players.
