Facebook founder, Mark Zuckerberg, joins the movement of billionaires “Giving Pledge”. Bill Gates undeniably managed to attract the two youngest billionaires in America since Dustin Moskovitz, the third co-founder of Facebook, also joined the Foundation.

“People usually wait for the end of their career to make donations. But why wait when there is so much to give? Said Zuckerberg to the press.

According to Forbes, Zuckerberg’s fortune would amount to $ 6.9 billion and that of Moskovitz is 1.4 billion.

Initiated by Bill Gates and Warren Buffet, the movement whose idea is to donate at least half his fortune now has 57 billionaires including Larry Ellison, CEO d’Oracle, Paul G. Allen, co-founder of Microsoft, Steve Case, co-founder of Aol, Pierre Omidyar, founder of Ebay, Georges Lucas, director Ted Turner, founder of CNN, Michael Bloomberg, the mayor of New York etc.

Mark Zuckerberg had already made substantial donations in the past, such as the construction of the diaspora social network and $ 100 million for public schools in Newark in New Jersey. This does not in any way highlight Steve Jobs, the CEO of Apple, since not only would the multimillionaire not have joined “Giving Pledge” but also and according to the New York Times, Apple would have prohibited iPhone applications encouraging to make donations.
